Resourcing Change
Creative Consulting
With over twenty years of experience in non-profits and higher education, in the US and Mexico, I love a stellar spreadsheet and adore a well-planned meeting as much as I appreciate a powerful prayer-poem. I support individuals and organizations with capacity-building projects in order to create ease around the beautiful and necessary visions that teams are working towards under today’s challenging conditions. There is a sweet spot where the limitations of any given project meet the creative purpose for doing the thing. I love working in that delightful space where limitation shifts into possibility.
Check out my catalog of services below and reach out with the things on your organization’s “to do list” that are feeling stuck. Let’s talk!
Narrative Change
Communicating the essence of your vision to audiences is an art form in and of itself. I bring together teams of talented artists, film-makers, and graphic designers (including those listed as collaborators below) to co-design impact campaigns, public events, zines, print/digital media, & films that inspire.
Qualitative Research
Whether you want to build with your community stakeholders or you need to synthesize lots of information for a strategic audience, let’s get curious together. This may include community-based participatory research, listening sessions, 1:1 interviews, data analysis, etc. End to end services available, including graphic design of final reports.
Funding
Financially resourcing the people and power behind your mission can be fun again. Pun intended. From grant-writing to crowd-funding to non-profit financial planning, let’s co-design a proposal that inspires while meeting the bottom-line. My approach is informed by the practices and principles of post-capitalist philanthropy.
Project Design
Meeting cadence. Agendas. Tasks. Deadlines. Staff assignments. Job descriptions. Shared leadership. Accountability. Collective care. Burnout. There is a lot that goes into “project management,” especially when your approach is based in the values of regenerative (as opposed to extractive) economies. I have a lot of tools in my toolbox in order to tailor the best strategy for your organization.
Collective Culture
Building trust and resilience during these challenging times is a growing edge for many organizations. It is my growing edge too. I am training as a grief counselor in order to bring guided conversations and practices that can (re)connect groups around their shared commitment to life-affirming change. If you would like to learn more, let me know.
